A few highlights from Spring 2010

As I am trying to get this blog caught up and current, I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by. It seems like the older I get, the faster and faster each year goes, and I am amazed that we are already into mid September.
Spring flew by for us. For Easter, we took a short trip to Las Vegas to enjoy the warmer weather, shop (obviously only Tay and I enjoyed that), and relax. We also took Taylor to see Beatles Love. You should have seen the look on her face when the show started! I think she was amazed that a cd she has been listening to for over a year could magically turn into a live production. I'm so glad that we were able to take her! Plus, that show could never get old for me~ I could see it over and over again. Here's a few pics (you know me, lots of pictures, few words...).

Tay's spring gymnastics recital... She did such a great job! Mom and dad were so proud!

In May, we cut 7 inches off Taylor's hair! After seeing this picture, it made me realize how long her hair really was! WoW!

Tay's spring Kindergarten recital (Her little buddy Greyson is to the right of her)
Dr. Valladares extracting one of Tay's many loose teeth (Thanks sis!). This girl knows how to lose teeth... Six teeth gone at age 5!
On Memorial Day, we took some time to visit a few cemetaries where our grandparents/great-grandparents were buried. Tay was so excited to pick out flowers for the headstones and it ended up being a wonderful afternoon.

A fabulous new addition

After my ~baby~ brother Mike returned from his mission July 2009, he met a wonderfully sweet and beautiful Karlee Karasko, and they were married on February 6th, 2010. We are so excited that Mike finally met the woman of his dreams and we are grateful to have her in our family! She is one of the most talented, bright, positive and energetic people I know. She even allowed both me and Christy to bribe her (and Mike) into running a half marathon with us in July 2010, and they left us in the dust! Here's a few pictures from the bridal shower and wedding day...

A Holly Jolly Winter 2009

The holidays are one of our favorite times of the year, and despite the hustle and bustle of shopping, decorating the home, card making, and party-going, we truly enjoy all of the traditions we have created as a family. I am so grateful for an amazing daughter who allows me to see Christmas through the eyes of a child. Watching her takes me back to all of my cherished childhood memories and I am grateful for that.

Here are some highlights...
